This page describes how material on mlforbeginners.com is researched, written, checked and corrected. It exists so you can judge how much to trust what you read here.
Who writes this
Every guide is written by Jamal Hussein. There is no outsourced content, no sponsored posts, and no guest articles. Where a topic sits outside my direct experience, the guide says so.
How a guide is written
- The mathematics is derived rather than asserted. If a formula appears, the steps that produce it appear with it.
- Worked examples use concrete numbers, and the arithmetic is shown so it can be checked by hand.
- Diagrams are generated from the same numbers the surrounding text describes, so the picture and the maths cannot drift apart.
- Notation is defined the first time it is used on a page. No symbol is assumed.
What we assume you know
School-level algebra. Anything beyond that is built up on the site itself, and linked when it is needed. If a guide assumes more than that without saying so, it is a defect — please report it.
Corrections
Errors are corrected in place rather than quietly removed. Where a correction changes the meaning of a result, the change is noted on the page. Reports go to the contact page and are welcome from anyone, at any level.
Review and updating
Published guides are revisited when the underlying material changes, when a reader reports a problem, or when a related guide makes a topic clearer. Dates shown on a guide reflect genuine edits.
Independence
The site carries no advertising and no affiliate links, and nothing on it is paid placement. If that ever changes, it will be disclosed on this page and on the affected pages before publication.
